Letterkenny Community Nursing Unit has reached construction stage!

We are delighted, as the M&E Consultants, to have been part of this significant healthcare project developed with a full BIM level 2 design.

When complete the CNU will have a gross floor area of 9400m2 and shall provide 110 bedrooms, divided into 5 separate households.

The energy efficiency of the building, and the impact it has on the local and general environment, was a critical part of the design process.
In addition to the targeting Energy Efficient Design (EED) and nZEB, the new buildings energy performance, NOX and carbon emissions are significantly better than a similar baseline build.
To achieve this level of efficiency we designed LED lighting throughout, high efficiency central plant, air sourced heat pumps, high efficiency heat recovery ventilation, solar PV panels, M&E services are fully zoned according to individual spaces and a Building Energy Management System including smart metering and monitoring will be provided.
