COVID 19, Responding to Accommodation Need
In responding to the need for accommodation, strategically identified to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic, Semple & McKillop worked closely with our Client, Design Team and Contractor to successfully deliver works at Oriel House on the St Davnet’s Campus, Monaghan.
To deal with the accelerated programme we increased the frequency of our site inspections, maintaining safe systems of work at all times. We liaised closely with, and supported the Contractor to deliver a high quality installation to the agreed handover date.
The building has been extended and refurbished with accommodation including a total of 16 en-suite bedrooms, a new entrance, reception area, nurse’s station, offices, consultation rooms, storage, sanitary facilities, and common areas.
Oriel House is of architectural interest. It was formerly used as a residential unit for Older Persons and it’s intended purpose is to provide an upgraded Mental Health Residential unit.
