Pioneering consultant engineers Semple & McKillop Ltd has been awarded official accreditation to internationally recognised quality management standards.

The company with offices in Belfast and Monaghan which recently secured the contract for the £10m terminal revamp at Belfast International Airport, was awarded by certification body NQA. Semple & McKillop Ltd is one of the first companies in Ireland to achieve the standards in their sector.

Commenting on the awards and the Belfast International Airport contract, Seamus McKillop, Managing Director, Semple McKillop said,

The recent announcements that we have achieved the NQA certification for the environment and health & safety as well as having secured another major contract with Belfast International Airport is a testimony to the great work of our team.”

Although Semple & McKillop has held the quality standard ISO 9001 since 1998, the organisation has more recently been awarded ISO 14001 for the environment and OHSAS 18001 for health & safety, by NQA, following the implementation of an integrated quality management system.
