Finalist at Irish Construction Excellence Awards!
Semple & McKillop are delighted to see this important social housing development receive recognition as a finalist in the Residential, Social & Affordable Category at the Irish Construction Excellence (ICE) Awards!
Appointed as the MEP Consultants for the Duiche Roden development in Dundalk, we delivered full MEP design services for the 133 residential units. This new social housing scheme includes a mix of houses, apartments, and duplexes, with a strong focus on providing specialist, assisted, and independent living accommodation for people aged 55 and over.
Our scope included the design, tendering, site inspections, and witnessing of commissioning for all mechanical, electrical and sustainable services.
To meet NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) standards, we incorporated air source heat pumps for houses and mechanical heat recovery ventilation (MHRV) systems for apartments.
