Historic Courthouse Transformed into Modern Enterprise Hub

The Newbliss Enterprise & Digital Hub, formerly known as Newbliss Courthouse, has been carefully refurbished to provide contemporary accommodation for remote working. Originally built in the 1820s, the courthouse has been restored while preserving its rich historical character.

This transformation was made possible through funding from the Department of Rural and Community Development’s Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF) and Monaghan County Council.

Semple & McKillop were proud to contribute to this project as part of the Design Team, seamlessly integrating modern M&E services into the fabric of this listed building.

In line with their commitment to sustainability, the project incorporated solar PV panels and EV charging facilities. Additionally, the system has been designed to accommodate conversion to biogas, ensuring long-term environmental efficiency.
