Semple & McKillop have successfully completed an expansion at Lister Community School in East London for the London Borough of Newham. Lister Community School is a mixed comprehensive school and specialist school in the Performing Arts.
The new 1,883m2 expansion has enabled the school to increase intake and create a new drama and music centre within the school.
The three-storey modular facility features a drama and dance suite, attached as a wing to the existing school with teaching and ancillary spaces.
Externally, the design continued, with bi-folding doors to provide additional space and enhance the performance area with an amphitheatre, green spaces, 2 canopies and a covered walkway.
